Figures in this triptych refer to Hydra or Lernaean Hydra, a many headed monster in Greek mythology. Killing the Hydra proved to be quite a challenge, as more heads would grow back whenever one was cut off. Lunchlady Doris bares the wounds from Rainier Wolfcastle (panel 1) in this final panel of this Simpson’s triptych.

Cavalieri is representing UrbanGlass at SOFA Chicago this November 5-7, 2010, where this panel will have it public debut.
